Vitamins are a group of nutrients that  our human body needs for good health and growth. They give strength to your body to fight the disease germs which enter our human body. A vitamin is an biological molecule that is an essential micronutrients which an organism needs in small quantities for the proper functioning of its metabolism. Minerals are also  most important for making enzymes and Hormones.

PRESERVEATION OF FOOD :

When food is left in the open for some time, germs such as BACTERIA and FUNGI can fall on it. The germs begin yo breed in the food. Therefore, food should be stored properly, otherwise it becomes stale. It can stay fresh for a day or two in the fridge for longer periods, It can be preserved by CANNING, DRYING, FREEZING, SALTING, SWEETENING, STERILIZING  and PACKING IN VACCUM.


PASTEURISATION :

Louis pasteur discovered that milk and other liquids can be preserved for a while by a process called  Pasteurization. To pasteurise milk, it is first heated upto 60 C , boiled at least for 30 minutes and then cooled quickly. Most of the germs are killed in this process. When you eat, make sure that you do the following :

* Eat different kinds of food.

* Always chew your food well and eat slowly.

* Keep flies off your food. Flies carry germs an their feet.

* Always wash your hands properly before you eat any food.


Human body needs Proteins, vitamins, minerals, carbohydrates, fats, water and roughage to keep healthy.
